Olufunso Amosun is an Ogun Firstlady in Nigeria. She is wife of Ibikunle Amosun who is Ogun state governor. Olufunso Amosun is socialized lady and she has completely dedicated her life to needy persons. She also cooperate her husband’s in betterment of state life and in various philanthropic roles in the society. She is 56 years old but very active in her work. She has completed her primary education in UK. And then came back and started her education. She was the student of State College of Arts and Science. She has done BA.ED there and did masters in Guidance and Counseling from the University of Lagos in Nigeria. When she work for social improvement she never see back, always think forward. She has been an immovable pillar of support to her husband by supporting in contributing to the welfare of humanity, coordinating scholarship schemes through the SIA (Senator Ibikunle Amosun) Foundation. She organizes the implementation of empowerment schemes and support programs designed to assist the less privileged in the society.
Mrs Olufunso Amosun’s working agenda is towards uplifting life of woman, widows, old age people etc. She is running a big campaign for EYE checkup. She wants to improve life of state people and wants to make Ogun state most educated and employed. She recently inaugurated Spouses of Ogun State Government Functionaries Association (SOSGFA) which works to support their husbands to re-establish state. She is not only accompanies the enthusiasm of her husband, but also played up the importance of the office of the First Lady, most splendidly. Apart from her critics, She has simply put her focal point on the less privileged, the youth, the elderly, widows and the unemployed who constitute a critical mass of the state’s population, rewriting their stories for the better. She has sponsored her state female football to qualify in the world cup. She also helps citizens with her eye checkup campaigns. She also empowers women with her campaign and makes them self employed by delivering business kits less than market price and 12 month interest free repayment period.
She has uplifted more than 1200 Unemployed Graduates in her Uplifting Unemployed Graduates program. She believes that insecurity is responsible for unemployment in graduates. She has invited graduates to send their business proposal and her team is looking for good opportunity. Her major aim is to stop youngster to search white collar jobs in the streets which is not good for them. She allows youngsters to do their own business with new ideas. She promotes small businesses referred by youngsters like: Fabric beading, barbing, shoe-making, plastering, bead-making, manicure and pedicure, hats-making, make-up and hall decoration, would be presented with certificates of participation. She came with entrepreneurial training program and many unemployed graduates have participated in it. She gave them opportunity to learn skills of their interests. Because of her hard work for Uplifting the Unemployed, she has reduced atrocious unemployment problems in state. There are so many graduates who have started their income from interior decoration, shoe making, barbing, hair dressing etc.
